the vid alot of people have been waiting for!! it really is fantastic to drop so much weight from the stock exhaust, the sound is to die for, proven gains (not much but better than a loss), and its looks awesome, ive been getting comments on it all day which has left a fat grin on my face.

Deary me that is proper loud isnt it? It does sound great but it's gotten me a bit worried now that the volume might be a bit unbearable for me.. :(
 
Sounds great, but could I really live with it??

Curborough is a scary place with no run off's. The molehill gives me nightmares...lol
 
its is VERY loud measure 95 dbs at 4500 rpm, ill be honest as much as i love it, if this was a Daily driver absolutly no way would i want to put up with this 24/7.

jeeper curborough is not very forgiving, luckily i know it like the back of my hand and also i take it very easy.

ga41, i did warn you!! the bangs and pops are Huge fun tho!!
 
anyway sorry for the long delay but if you take the vids to close its just buzzes the cam its that loud!!

hope they were worth it in the end
 
When I eventually go down the replacement exhaust route, I'm going to get one with an electronic bypass valve so I can set the volume manually or via an RPM signal.

Although I think it'll have to be in combination with a manifold back system :P
 
Not a fan of that at all!!! I'm begining to think the std oem exhaust sounds better than any aftermarket system!

I must be getting old!

each to their own, ive got a vid of the car going round stock and their was NO noise!! For me, its just perfect and adds to an already amazing car!! i cant stop my self from popping into the garage and startin her up!! lol

but ill be honest i drive my 08 fiesta diesel after a long day in the zed and thought oowwwww silence, lovely!! lol

Nah, I use the car a little more than just weekends, and it'll be a bit much me thinks.

I'll tell you how it is to live with it daily when i have mine installed in a few days.
 
eeek, i thought mine was loud but that's louder, still like the note though.

thats the sort of thing id want a valve for, to turn off as you leave the track. :thumbsup:
 
Fantastic!! Love it and I want one :D

But for everyday driving a bit too loud. Yep, what we need is someone to build one with a switchable baffle plate similar to Aston Martin. That sound when you're out giving the car the beans and a little quieter for those mornings when you don't want to wake up all of your neighbours :)

There are a couple of companys doing these IIRC Remus are one but they didn't list the 'M' when I last checked.
 
for me one of those switchable systems is out of the question, to much addition wiring/ weight unwanted complication!!

Give me a simple, light weight, awesome sounding, nice looking and thats what i get from rpi and more to the point great price also!

Totally! Hope it doesn't end up pissing you off tho...Expensive bit of kit! Then again it would sell in about 5mins!
