Thanks Woots, I thought they all came with one until I noticed some dont, I just thought with it being a soft top it was just a bit of extra strengthening that they all had, I agree I can't see it making much difference, cheersWoots said:factory or aftermarket option mate...
roughly about 250 quid i believe?
not sure im a good enough driver to notice any difference/benefit...
but they look nice.
Thanks Ruby at least I am not on my own! That puts my theory about strengthening because its a soft top down the toilet!RubyBlueZ4MC said:I have one

That's standard on both coupé & roadster.goon said:mine has bracing from the turrets to the centre of the windscreen.
Yes mmm-five it is the extra bracing that goes across the top of engine that I mean, trouble is its just something else to polish up under the bonnet!mmm-five said:That's standard on both coupé & roadster.goon said:mine has bracing from the turrets to the centre of the windscreen.
This extra brace goes from one suspension tower to the other, across the engine.
Good heads up, thanks.Jbtco said:As I found out some insurance companies will not cover a car with a strut brace even an OEM one as it is not a factory option. Be sure to check with your insurer.
What are the main benefits then please? Is it just to strengthen the front end, I can understand its use in a fwd car with the power running through the front wheels adding more structure across the engine, does it still work aswell in a RWD car?peddy said:Makes a BIG difference.
