Evolve carbon fibre intake- now with a video

Kept this relatively quiet but this morning I dropped the car off at evolve automotive in Luton

As you guys know they've been desperate to develop a csl style intake to fit the ///m and my car will spend the next three weeks as their guinea pig as they see what fits and what doesn't, also so they can develop the alpha n tuning as it will be maf-less

Once the prototype is on I'll then assess how it's doing and feed back to them how the mod is doing but there should also be some dyno runs carried out so we can all see the improvement

Any updates by them over next 3 weeks by them will probably be put on zpost, but I will of course update you guys here

Super excited to see what happens and to hear my ///m sound like an angry CSL

well done woots, !!!! your car will be one of the best sounding on the forum!!!!

looking forward to see it soon :-)

Did you find it smoother than a maf tune? I need to research exactly how the alpha n tune works....

I probably should have asked imran today but totally forgot

Not sure if the tune will increase the rev and speed limit too...

Remember reading about it a while back.

Evolve do some stunning carbon work.

If I'm correct they employ an external composite company to manufacture them, same company also makes parts for f1 cars, evolve predominantly will be doing the trial fit and mark up any changes to car/intake and then develop the tune

The tune will be the hardest part of this, imran and sal both agreed that actually getting the intake to fit won't be that big an issue, there is plenty of room in the zeds engine bay

What will be the advantage of the carbon intake over (say) one of the same design made in GRP? A few grammes in a 1450kg+ car?

wow woots , exciting to be at the forefront of cutting edge technology, dont understand alpha tune etc etc but you only hear good things about evolve! 3k tho sounds a lot of money, what bhp increase are they expecting, any ideas yet? how much is a superchrger kit inc fitting, will eagerly await results, also hace never seen or heard a csl so that will be interesting on the M. good luck with everything :driving:
