My car is white and the Fusso is perfect for light colours, I'm also a big fan of Harly, especially as it goes on like butter, the Fusso does take a fair bit of buffing off !ph001 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 21, 2020 7:54 pm What colour is your car? I can’t recommend Fusso soft 99 on dark colours at all, very disappointing gloss level on my Monaco blue and doesn’t seem to last at all. Assuming this is the same stuff we are talking about....

Bilt Hamber double speed wax is another popular recommendation but I don’t get on with it at all.
I think you will have a much better time with the Megs Ultimate paste wax...

I like the Meguairs crystal carabuna wax, have used it for ages, goes on easy and on dark cars gives a deep lustre.

If it is a black car, then I recommend Dodo Juice Purple Haze as being the best under £30.

I use McGuires ultimate polish after every wash on my Maldives blue and 7. The 7 also gets McGuires hybrid ceramic every other wash and comes up amazing even though it’s silver.

I’ve recently used the Soft99 kiwami dark (not the fusso) and I’m quite impressed with it. The only downside is that I found it a real bastard to remove if you put it on too thick.
I’ve always been happy with colinite 845 insulator wax too, very easy to apply, great durability and good gloss. It also doesn’t punish heavy handed application.

Another vote for 845 i always used more expensive paste waxes on my Z my favorite being Vic Concours but during lockdown i had the Z wearing 845 on the rear end Butter Wet Wax on the Bonnet and VC elsewhere and in even light the wet look and gloss was the same she now has 3 coats of 845beanie wrote: ↑Thu Oct 22, 2020 6:36 pm I’ve recently used the Soft99 kiwami dark (not the fusso) and I’m quite impressed with it. The Megs hybrid ceramic is a real pain to put on a bare paint car properly. Ignore the instructions to spray and rinse (you waste half a bottle that way), you need to spray on a dry car and apply like a normal wax and then buff off....but it takes a bloody long time to buff off. The upside is that it lasts a very long time and gives excellent protection, easily the toughest wax I've used over the years. I think you can get at least 6 or 7 washes before needing to apply again.
It looks good on my carrara white porsche but on the ruby black MC it doesn't do much to my eye.

I've just bought a litre of Shinee Wax after seeing many excellent reviews. It appears to have the highest level of gloss of any wax on the market at the moment Can't wait to try it when I've finished off my Sonax Extreme Brilliant Shine Detailer, which I've been more than happy with over the last 3 years or so. The Shinee Wax will have to be REALLY good to make me change over

The gloss is like nothing else i have seen, really is an effect that only heavy priced stuff can achieve.
I dont think there is huge longevity but at its price point, once a month flickover will last a couple of years out of 500ml..
I must have tried every QD and quick spray on stuff out there, and Shinee is excellent and i can only think the ADS nano being a comparative product, but is much more expensive

Another Harly user here. Have lots of different waxes, but gives a decent gloss and a good longevity as also use on the dailys that sit outside all year round. Must get another tin ,which is unusual for wax users to actually finish a tin !!

The Harly wax kind of went viral and loads of us on the forum bought a tin of it. Consensus after a few months was it is supremely easy to apply and remove and gives a decent result but it doesn’t last at all. Not even a week. Almost like a quick detailer wax in my eyes.Thrustyjust wrote: ↑Sun Oct 25, 2020 9:03 am Another Harly user here. Here's my armoury for today, going to finish my tin of trusty collinite for the final winter coat as it lasts incredibly well and I may as well finish it off, I'm going to put a coat of auto finesse triple as recommended by Mr Wilks down as the first layer after a polish with the sonax. Have already done the snowfoam wash and rinse, clay mitt and 2 bucket wash and dry and will crack on with the first polish now.. Results around 4pm ish hopefully
