Cat D newbie!

Post by Cheadle » Sun Jun 14, 2009 11:18 pm

Hello people!

First post, just checking in. I've been lurking on these boards for a while before I made my purchase.

A 2005 2.2 in Sterling Grey with black leather, cruise, heated seats and Carver stereo.

It was involved in a bump last year and written off by the insurance company as a Cat D (ie repairable, but financial write off).

The accident was on the entrance to a roundabout. Driver in front went to move off, driver behind (the Zed) followed, but then the first driver abandoned and slammed on the brakes resulting in the Zed hitting it.

Damage - bumper, radiator, lights, bonnet and driver airbag. No chassis damage as less than 15mph.

Car has now been fully repaired, complete with M sport bumper and upgrade clear front indicators.

Looking forward to getting some great advice on here!!!!

Thanks for the comments guys

It would look better on 18"s so I'm keeping a look out for a decent set. I had to put 4 new Falkens on it to get through the MOT though, so It may be a while.
It was about a third less than you'd expect to pay, so its cost me £7.5k (including the tyres). Its done 40k.
Bit nicer than the other stuff I was looking at for the money, especially in this weather :D :D :D
