Hi all, recently bought my z4 e85 2.0, had to get the 2 as insurance is mental! Nonetheless, loving every second, especially coming from a focus! Already had the roof motor done and a cam cover gasket, but sorted at the zed shed for a very reasonable price, highly recommend. Attached below are the obligatory pics, enjoy, also if anyone knows the dark blue colour name, im curious, thanks. Have mentioned in buy and sell that i am interested in purchasing a 6 speed storm motorwerks v1 gear knob aswell, if anyone has one for sale please let me know!

Welcome to the forum. Great colour combo which will keep you very busy keeping clean on the inside and out
I’d love to know what you mean by “mental”, as Z4s (I’ve had E85 and E86) seem really cheap to insure. My 3.0i is cheaper to insure than any other car I’ve ever owned and even my son’s (who was 19 when he first got it) 2.5i is affordable - like half the cost of a Corsa.

Cheap car insurance must be one of the few benefits of getting older!

Do you have a 'black box' for that money, or is it a normal policy?GingerGiant101 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 04, 2024 8:02 pm Im 19, paying 3.6k a year, 1 year ncd. Tbf i got quoted 3k on the focus, varies alot by area. At my dads house i was quoted 7.5k.

So in the first year you’ve given the insurance company more than the car is worth, and they know full well any little dink will be a write off. So worst case for them, they give you 3/4 of that back.
