BMW Z4 sale info
So I bought theirs from my brother last year (Inkey$) as he was forced to sell it due to his house move. Unfortunately I’m just not really using it and it’s mainly sat in my garage collecting dust. In addition to all the work carried out by him, I’ve put a fresh MOT on it and put in a brand new battery. Apologies I’ve not been active on this forum, it’s been a bit of a steep learning curve and also it’s been garaged and protected from the nasty winter elements so I haven’t had reason to delve into your infinite wisdom!
This Zed was first registered on 8th March 2005 in Cumbria, has had 7 previous owners and comes with stamped service history.
The car is in good condition with a clean interior and fully working roof. When I bought it from my brother it had a couple of tiny dents in the passenger door which I’ve had professionally removed. It's a very late model pre-facelift with that gorgeous straight six [non-lifter-tick] M54 engine. It is 18 years old though, so not perfect. Those imperfections are as follows:
* The car of course has age related marks in places. Difficult to see at a distance being a forgiving black colour, but they are there when you look for them.
* A few scratches to the lower rear bumper.
* M Sport multi-function steering wheel isn't wired in, but will come with the official retrofit cable to install and enable full function.
* Small chip in the windscreen. Not an MOT issue.
* It’s a black car….you’d better like cleaning cars
During his ownership my brother documented all work and purchases made. That work and the cars previous history are all listed below. His project-diary thread with lots of pictures can also be found here…

In his words, “Mileage was the real kicker for me on this car as it was low on just over 60k miles, which is roughly average 3500 miles a year.”
It just ticked over to 63,700 miles on the odometer (will increase with limited use).
The car is ULEZ compliant, currently garaged, tucked up out of the elements under a car cover protecting it from the dust in Waldringfield in Suffolk IP12 and comes with:
• V5 in my name
• HPI clear
• Private plate: R12 NRW
• Hardwired dash-cam (located behind mirror)
• 2 x keys
• BMW wallet with all manuals/books/stamped service book
• Folder of receipts/bills
• MOT until January 16th 2025
The Storm Motorwerks gear knob and handbrake handle will be not be included, but the originals will be.

I’ve tried to be as open as I can with the condition of the car. It’s a lovely pre-face lift M54 example that’s not perfect, but with some fettling (fettling I’d planned to do over time), will be a fantastic low mileage example for somebody that’s already had a lot of the mechanical heavy work and spend completed.
Price: £5750 ono
I’m interested in finding the car a new owner that will continue with the upkeep and enjoy. This is such a wonderful car to drive and I’m gutted to sell her but due to a few personal reasons it makes sense to move her on. There are absolutely no mechanical issues that I’m aware of.
Any questions, please drop me a PM or I’m sure my brother Inkey$ can answer any questions you may have!
Current mileage 63,743 and unlikely to go up much as we have two other cars.

Super low milage and a glorious example. As you know, if I wasn't still in home improvement mode I’d have this back off of you, James!
I can vouch for this car. A fantastic pre-facelift example that would make somebody very happy indeed!

Sapphire Black BMW Z4 E85 3.0 se 63k miles (05)
Hi there - new member looking to replace a recently sold E28 5 series with something 20 years newer!
Nice car - do like a pre-lci E85 with those alloys, ever since seeing Clive Owen drive one in ‘The Hire’ short film series of the 2000s.
Quick question re the mileage on the 2010 MOT - just a ‘typo’ do you think or something dodgy?
Thanks - Jon

Hi Jon
100% typo for sure. I had something similar a couple of years ago with another vehicle I bought (although then it was an error by the MOT station putting miles instead of km (was a Japanese import). I don’t think anyone in their right mind would think they’d be able to get away with clocking a car back to 10,000 miles! It’s a beautiful car, I went out for coffee with my wife in it today with the roof down . You’re welcome to come and view it and drive it, any test you want.
Kind regards
James
