It was very wet and hairy coming down from Manc lots of flooding on the M6 and M50, it didn't really stop until 1pm so although I took all my camera and video gear I didn't end up getting it out. It was a pretty good turn out considering and was really nice to meet a few people I have known for years but not met in person and see a few familiar faces.
That's kind of the thing for me these days, ive had Zs for 13 years now and have seen pretty much everything I could see but just really nice to meet new people and talk cars
Have to say a real thank you to Luke as we had 34 cars representing the Zed Owners Club in a great position.
It was much better this year, no asbo behaviour which is a real plus, well for me anyway. This event is more in the performance BMW category than the standard events im used to going to. An emphasis on modification and mainly focusing on the newer M3 generations if anyone is interested. Their instagram shares were near enough all M3 related this year. Saying that it's so diverse that you get all the best of the BMW world there too. Last year the old boys were their with the 3.0CSLs the most ive ever seen, Z8s, 2002 turbos etc etc this year those guys understandably gave it a miss with the weather.
I didn't take many pics really and pretty much non of us even wiped the cars down because it was was wet. Made the most of it tho and had a good look around the museum which is worth going for on its own. Really enjoyed the cinema with the films on the MGA/B, mini etc spent most the afternoon watching to the point where I was last to leave! Hopefully the weather is better next year.
We were on the second row from the bottom, you can see the imola coupe and my implant roady about half way up that second row.

I was the same, Tom. I took the big camera but didnt bother to snap anything, not even of my own car. !
I'd lost my mojo due to the rain and cold, also my car having a little hissy fit on the way there..
I was shocked how many M3s and 4s there were, to the point where it got boring seeing yet another one !!
Some serious kit on display, supercharged Ms a plenty.
There was an V10 M5 up on the hill that was idling (the one with the perspex cut out bonnet), the intake boom when standing infront was crazy, enough to feel it in my stomach.
My standout car (i'm not big into huge mods) was the previous gen M2 CS, that looks to be a proper sorted car from standard. In that blue with gold wheels.
The new gen M2's looked excellent and despite the fun they get poked at them, I had to stop and admire.
Some of the older stuff was great too see and some very nice Alplinas.

Thanks for organising it Luke.
I took a few photos, just to prove I was there!
And because I love Imola Red.
Finally some inspiration for Pondrew as it's Z3 based.

Belated but disappointed to say mine was the only G29 in the show ground. There were two IIRC last year.

You were the bright blue parked next to the white Z3?
(I'm James with the blue coupe parked the other side of the Z3)
I find it difficult to remember names, so refer to people by their cars.

Hi, yes that was me with the Misano Blue car. I was hoping there might have been at least one other G29 with some modifications to it, ideally with an exhaust upgrade. All I did with mine was to add a boot spoiler! After watching quite a few videos on YT (Archie Hamilton, Motech, Auto, etc) with people modifying the latest 2 Series M240i cars, I thought there would have been more of those too. As others have said, it was more like M3/M4 fest.
