Another mini NC500 trip in the bag

Post by B21 » Sat May 04, 2024 12:10 pm

A few of the Z4 Owners Scotland decided to do a newbie trip to the NC500..bit if a hybrid NC500/Grand Tour..

In 3 days we had a couple of hours of rain..2 glorious days of bright sunshine..

Definitely the north west / south west segments are the most scenic by a long way..

Applecross was relatively uncontested which made that pleasant..

Still a lack of catering and hospitality despite being early May..

Played tail end Charlie..in a 6 car group..here are a few pics with a perspective..

There are over 500 others if you want to see what the boys took?

We choose to go to on with this endeavour at this time and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard…

Never can work out the tidal flows of tourists there..the camper vans seem ever present…this time other traffic was pretty light..

Lovely photos. I've been up here in Fort William for a few days now. Been great weather until about an hour ago. Too many lovely mountains to climb to worry about driving though.

My daughter did the full route a couple of years back in rented VW camper thing - she loved it, our issue is time with grandkids and house renovations, will get there one day for certain

As much as I really want to do it again a few weeks time is a bit too soon!

I hope you all have a great time.
