It seemed to be time to peel the Zed out of the white clothing it's been sporting since i got it....Yup, it's time to unwrap the zed!

Started on Friday afternoon with a tentative unwrap of the mirrors, this gave me the confidence to go further...much further :)

To say I'm pleased with the Sepang Bronze colour would be the understatement of the decade.. :D

8+ hours of toil.... and I'm pretty sure I no longer have any finger prints on my left hand.

The wrap has done no damage to the paintwork whatsoever, What you see above is what was revealed when the wrap came off. There are 2 stonechips (one of which was done by me and cut through the wrap) and a very faint scratch on the drivers side hip bulge which looks like a branch scratch.

I'm sure the car will look better once I've had a chance to fully clean and polish it. So far all I've done is degrease and wash.

Yup, ///M only colour called Sepang Bronze. I think it was the original launch colour for the ///MC/MR??


....though I could be mistaken. It was also available on the M6 and M5. T'is the first time I've even seen it in the flesh.
 
I wasn't keen at first but it grew on me, then when I saw one in the flesh I loved it.

Are you keeping the carbon roof wrap?

Starting to show it's age if I'm honest. Dirt seems to become ingrained into the white vinyl after a while and you'd have to use strong bleach (like on a kitchen floor) to get it off. I wasn't keen on doing this.

Looks much, much better in bronze, and the paintwork has been protected for all the time the wrap has been on. Seeing a white car turn sepang makes me want one :thumbsup:

That's some tint on the side windows - what colour is the interior ?

It really depends upon the light, at sunset it looks like tungston, while in bright sunlight it looks like what you'd expect from Sepang Bronze. I absolutely love it.

Even my wife, who's not even remotely interested in cars was stopped in her tracks when she first laid eyes on it. She described it as "stunning" :D

I haven't decided yet, Mike. It's the only part of the wrap which isn't showing its age, also, I like the like of black it creates from the front windshield into the rear clamshell.
