Any patterns on M seats?

My 3.0Si Coupe has M seats in saddle brown leather. While waiting in line for the coupe panoramic photo at Homecoming, someone asked me how I got that basket weave pattern insert in the seat back. I had never thought anything of it. Does anyone else have any kind of pattern in their seat?

OK, here goes--the closeup is a little washed out. In the larger view, the basket weave insert is approx 2 inches in height across the seat back, second section down from the headrest.

large shot (color is more true on this one)Sorry it's laying down, but if I rotate it in photobucket, it makes it smaller.

......and I don't get sunburned and my car RUNS! :poke:

I don't have that, nor have I ever seen it. Very unusual. Maybe part of the Extended Leather package? You get a different pattern on the standard seats with that (a middle seam), why not the Ms?

That's unusual, I sat in a Saddle Brown interior in a 3.0Si roadster about a year ago, don't recall seeing that though :scratchhead:

BTW, because it isn't common here in the UK some people will be looking at it thinking it looks horrible, it does seem hard to photograph it well, but the roadster I sat it in was Montego Blue with Saddle and it looked amazing in the flesh.

Hmmmmm, maybe.........but IIRC, the person at HC that asked about it had extended leather as well. Anyone else have any clues????

Yeah, I thought it would be too dark being in a black car with wood trim, but it works.

Poked around on realoem and the diagrams don't even show that panel.... curiouser and curiouser...

Seeing your Z at HC i loved the combo
As wondermike said not a combo you see over here much.
Just had a look at mine and no weave pattern you must have a one off smokin. 8)
One thing I did note was no one I saw at HC had the two tone leather in their Zs. :?

Did you buy the car new? It isn't a repair is it? Doesn't look like it mind. I have the extended nappa leather in mine in Champaign, but no sections like that in the seats.

Bought it brand new with less than 10 miles on the odometer. I'm beginning to think that maybe it was a way to use all the leather-to keep it matched the seat factory may have had to splice in a section (taking a better look this morning, the section is closer to 4 inches in height). Either way, it's kind of fun being unique.

:D

Damn, there goes "unique" :(

(whew, I *knew* I wasn't crazy. Thanks.....now that makes me wonder just why that shows up? 2004 would be a roadster so it's not a coupe thing. :? )
