Sorry you feel you’ve not been welcomed into the bosom of this family..

I’ve been doing Internet forums of various types since the early 1990s..they are all prone to the same dynamics, both good n bad...the actors change but the story remains largely the same...

It’s upsetting / frustrating sometimes but people can help themselves...

A good example is the lack of location identifier and a nom de plume that tends to make people assume things...

Another is where people post short requests without any contextual info so people either assume it’s for someone else / they are a bit of a plonker / it’s TFD to respond..

Once people have posted a few times others get the measure and tend to be more helpful..

I've always found this a very friendly forum - well until baconJazz stopped liking me because I finally bought an M last week!

I've also bought and sold some bits and pieces (including a car) and never had any issues - maybe the OP was just unlucky. :?

Take your past experiences as a pinch of salt Singapore Stag

As srhutch mentioned, you have to a) clearly state your offer in the thread b) whoever replies 1st gets 1st dibs if offer full ask c) if not full price offered, seller can choose highest offer d) seller normally confirms on the thread

I sold my Z4 over 5 years ago but I still dip in & out of this forum as I think there's a good mix of informative info & banter, I don't post nearly as much as I used to but when I did I always got useful feedback & help - sometimes the topic's were not even car related.

I've been in car clubs and on Forums for too many years to remember.,,
i think this is probably the best forum i have even been on...
I have a TTS and am a memeber of the TT forum which is nowhere near as good as this imo..
I am a member of the Imp club and forum.....excellent
i am a member of The TR Register and their forum.....excellent
I am a member of OLd SkoolFord....excellent
I am a founder member of Somerset Triumphs...and we have several Stag owners......excellent club
I have been a Triumph owner for 40 years....i have had the same TR6 all that time, ive owned Spitfires, GT6 and 2 Stags..
and i have to say after those 40 years of attending car shows ...there is nothing more snooty and stand offish than a Triumph Stag meeting or a gaggle of Stag owners ... :D
Welcome to the forum:

Yes a few wallies , a fair bit of sarcasm and a lot of banter but always entertaining and there's always someone to help with problems - although I didn't get many problems when I had my E85 - mind you in 8 years of ownership I only took it out of the garage twice
Second time was when you sold it I believe
