What on Earth…

For all my school years I had believed that the USA was on the left of Europe until I went to the state and saw a map there, where Europe is on the left of the USA

Yes flat earth debates are very frustrating - they can be clever though, they often toss in very quickly 'facts' that support their position when in fact they are just things that have been made up.

The big question I always ask is, why? Why would governments across the globe that hate each other, that take ten years to create a bilateral trade deal to sell frozen chickens or the like, that have different governments from autocratic to composite governments, with changes in leadership on regular basis...why did they despite all those barriers, decide to come together and decide that they need to hide flat earth from everyone?

I've seen responses from things like 'there is hidden land out there' to 'oil in the great ice wall' to 'its the jews' :|

Whilst we are discussing the shape of the earth: slightly related.................. almost convinced the wife that the Americans launched the rocket to the moon at night as they don't have sophisticated tech like the Chinese and Indians, so had to be able to see the moon to aim at it.

PVR would disagree as he watched me fail to fully climb into the overalls I liberated when I left the RAF.
Now I nonchalantly tie them round my waist and make out I always wore them like that.

Im a cubist. The earth is flat and six sided. Just thought I would roll the dice with that theory.

Isn't that the best situation for all debates?

Of course the Earth is flat. I refer to (p)Terry Pratchett's Discworld books. If you are at sea in a boat, you have to be very careful not to crash through the Circumfence and fall off
