Can exhanche numbers. But if you sort it your end then all good!Bodyboarder wrote: ↑Fri Mar 22, 2024 1:23 pm

Closing the roof from the key ?
Ah thanks for the offer and I’ll see how I get on more local if possible … although a friend today tried to code it using bimmercode and was unsuccessful due to it not supporting E85 era cars ?Dr. Zed wrote: ↑Mon Mar 25, 2024 9:17 amI'm in Swindon so not absolutely miles away. Closing the roof from the key ?
Well blow me down and call me Frank ... i was outside tending to the roof, a nice clean up, I thought I would try the remote close again.
Opened as usual remotely fine, then hit lock and held it and it closed but windows down still. So, thought I would try the button again a second time, nothing ...
... well whats the harm in trying a third time, and up went the windows

I think I’m leaning towards getting the gaptech thing … seems it works well and is easy to fit yourself ?

Buy the gaptech, it's up there with one of the best mods you can do to the car, all for around £100.Bodyboarder wrote: ↑Tue Mar 26, 2024 4:05 pm I think I’m leaning towards getting the gaptech thing … seems it works well and is easy to fit yourself ?

It was my first mod to a car 9 years ago. I found it easy, was more worried about damaging my car trim.
I got an E in GCSE electronics.

If you go for gaptech
Most say don't use the provided connectors, solder in , bought mine second hand, 10 years no issues, hopefully that's not the kiss of death

What's the difference between that and the Mods4Cars module? M4C is more than double the price, but gives one touch open/close and operation up to 25mph.Usel wrote: ↑Tue Mar 26, 2024 4:19 pmBuy the gaptech, it's up there with one of the best mods you can do to the car, all for around £100.Bodyboarder wrote: ↑Tue Mar 26, 2024 4:05 pm I think I’m leaning towards getting the gaptech thing … seems it works well and is easy to fit yourself ?

Gaptech will only do: stationary, activate roof, then you can only creep at upto 10mph.

Thanks. I don't feel like I've wasted money with M4C / SmartTop then. Was a hasty purchase without researching Gaptech. Very neat device, and easy to install on E85.Usel wrote: ↑Thu Mar 28, 2024 7:47 amThe difference is what you stated, more expense but you get the 25mph thingErgellegre wrote: ↑Thu Mar 28, 2024 6:53 amWhat's the difference between that and the Mods4Cars module?
