Hi mike, are you trading in your M3? Have they given you a price?

The hi-fi is a worthwile upgrade, I got it on my roadster and its a huge improvement over the standard setup.

Nah....selling privately. Main dealers make very poor bids for M3s in my experience!

Wise man!

I think the Hi-Fi is worth having more than PDC but both are what people want come re-sale. I guess you could get round to fitting the PDC in due course, I am sure its something an independent could do if you get the kit for it.

Mike does make a good point about the warranty though, depends how long you intend to keep the car ?

I dont think any of it really matters.

We're all doomed where residuals are concerned. :headbang:

Sold mine privately on PH. Nice premium over my friendly dealer. Went in 2 days.

You poor blokes in the UK (and Europe in general) get sooo hammered on price over there. My '07 M Coupe set me back $49,700 US (do the math), and includes the premium package (which over here includes the upgraded stereo, power seats, Nappa leather, cargo nets, cruise control, BMW assist (4 years), and Bluetooth). PDC isn't even available here, and heated seats aren't needed here in the desert. :tumbleweed: List was $55,020, and my purchase price was well below invoice cost. These cars just aren't moving here at ALL, and there's a $5k back-end incentive to the dealers currently to try to move out the '07's. The only taxes we pay are state sales tax, around 8.1% here, and registration costs vary by state, from dirt-cheap in some states ($24 annually!) to quite higher in others (around $800 annually for me here in Arizona, decreasing as the car ages). Not to mention how much less we pay for fuel.

I'm loving my coupe after 6 weeks and 2500 miles. One reason I wanted one is my employer is located in Greenville South Carolina, minutes from the Spartanburg plant where our cars are born. Our company hotel is the same Marriott that BMW uses, so every time I'm in town, BMW is right in my face. Decided that it would be a nice thing to support the local economy that supports me, along with an getting an awesome car. Absolutely no regrets.
