Re: Buying a Z4 M Coupe
I test drove one today: Ruby Black, Black Nappa, Nav, Bluetooth, 6CD, heated seats and Folding mirrors. Was up for 34,850, I offered 33,250 but he wouldn't budge below 33,850 so I walked and left him with my offer.
What do you guys reckon on the above? If it had got the Hi-fi I would probably have gone with it.
Minimum requirements are black/black with nav, hifi, bluetooth and heated seats, there seemed to be a few with this spec last week around the 32,850 mark and now I can hardly find any

What colour is the interior?
BTW I came from a 4.2 AJP8 (flat-plane, hand-built, etc.) and am not disappointed.

Re: Buying a Z4 M Coupe
Arhg! Just spoken with another dealer about a sapphire black car got them down to 33,000 over the phone, just about to leave a depoist when I get a call from the dealer I test drove with on Saturday saying he can do me the Ruby black car for 33,250.
Which one do I go for?
All the same options except Black Sapp has cruise, Ruby black has folding mirrors and PDC
Help!

Re: Buying a Z4 M Coupe
I'm not keen on the Ruby Black, and having just bought one without PDC I say go for the one with cruise (which I will miss!) Sounds like we were probably talking to the same dealers about the same cars and they have realised they need to come down a bit...

Re: Buying a Z4 M Coupe
Some dealers seem to be discounting a bit more than others. When i got mine on friday it was listed for £33850 in the showroom but £32850 on their website. So straight away they had to know 1k off. I then managed to get them down to £32150. This was in Birmingham. The full spec is listed on page one at the bottom. I was shown the original invoice - they paid 31k for it.
But hey Gids nothing else matters now bet you cant wait!

Yours looks a good price. I was talking to my dealer about the cars on the AUC site for £38k-£41k and he said they are just on another planet; his opinion was its so easy to do your home work now you just won't be able to sell it. In regards to black ones, I got the Sytner Nottingham one down to £33,850 but they told me they just could not go lower and it owed them more than £32k for anyone that is interested in it. Also I think it was the Chigwell one that was £39,500, and when I said how uncompetitive that was it became £35,850 instantly.scottie1979 wrote:Some dealers seem to be discounting a bit more than others. So £31-£34k is about right IMO

Re: Buying a Z4 M Coupe
You still don't want your pants pulling down over the price though! The woman I spoke to at Sytner Sutton said they could afford to sell it cheaper as it's one they've just bought in, where as the one I've bought is the managers/demo car which owes them more. Whether that's true or not I don't know. Probably just sales spiel.
1500 off the list price can't argue with that I guess. The wait is certainly going to seem like an age.
Are you local to Birmingham Scottie?

Unlucky bugger! I'm just south of Birmingham in Solihull.
Were you guys looking at any other cars aside from the Z? The only other car I was interested in was the Cayman but after test driving both I knew the Cayman wasn't getting a look in.

Re: Buying a Z4 M Coupe
Remember, BMW UK give their dealers a little bonus at the end of the year if they shift 'extra' units, irrespective of price (as long as it's above internal list). Seems to be what's going on with Z4M coupes at certain dealers and potentially explains some of the deals.
