Wheel spacers on my E89
I’m having new 19inch Riva DTM wheels https://www.lkperformance.co.uk/wheels/ ... dtpms=true fitted to my E89 this week, they are 8inch front (offset 34) and 9inch rears (offset 37) fitted with 225/35/R19 and 255/30/R19 tyres. Will these wheels look better with spacers and if so what size is recommended for front and rear? Thank you for any advice offered.

You won't need spacers on the rear with above set up , front possibly a 5mm but doubt you will find that a necessity

Many thanks for your reply. The wheels are being fitted on Wednesday so after your advice I will just wait and see how they look. 5mm seems hardly worth bothering about.

Well i wouldn't mind 5mm of £50 notes but yea its pretty small but with wheel widths & offsets you don't need much to swing from perfection to rub or from a good stance to underwheeled as you say have them fitted then post some pics up , you will know soon enough

I had my new wheels fitted this morning so a few photographs below. I’m very happy with the way they look and won’t be bothering with any spacers!

They look good on your car. What size spacers did you use? My car has standard suspension and as you can see from the not very good photos (taken in the garage) the rear doesn’t look as though it could take a spacer and the front doesn’t appear to have much room.

Wheel spacers on my E89
I'm possibly thinking of new csl rep wheels for my Silver e89. What width rims / offsets and spacers did you buy. I was hoping to buy with an offset to already space the wheels out a bit.
Any advise would be much appreciated

Sorry mate not been in for a while, they are the Riva DTM Wheels, these ones ... https://www.bmautosport.co.uk/showroom/ ... rear-p-422
I didn't buy them from there mine came from Elite Tyres in Reading, if you call and speak to Chris he will know the space widths as I cant recall.

Wheel spacers on my E89
Thanks for that. They are the ones I'm looking at. Same ones that cm wheels sells also. After some searching I can now see that the rears will stick out another 3mm and the fronts in 5mm so they fronts would need a 5mm spacer in them to bring them back to the same as standard.DibbleCorse wrote: ↑Thu May 16, 2019 11:05 pmJollyjoiner wrote: ↑Thu May 02, 2019 7:31 pmI'm possibly thinking of new csl rep wheels for my Silver e89. Ones my springs are on I'll take a few measurements and see how much wider I can go and then might phone the place you got yours from.
Cheers

Running 5mm spacers would mean you're not running a hub-centric setup though. Bare that in mind.

Hi Jolly,
How are you getting on with the Eibachs? Looking at it myself, just don’t want to spoil the ride by making it too hard…. Also, have you managed to avoid tyre rub ok?
