Occasional driver or classic
Thinking of buying a z4 and insuring it as an occasional driver or modern classic, jesus the quotes are stupid, quotes around £400, have no convictions , ncb over 9 years and only want this as a 4000k driver around as a classic are

Just bought my wife a 53-plate E85 2.5i.
As she already has another car she could not transfer any NCB.
Best we got was Direct Line. 6000 miles a year, fully comp. £255. Courtesy car included.
And we did it through TopCashBack which got me another £10.50 back.
That's just a standard policy as we too couldn't find any classic car policies that came close in price.

Always found Direct line the best for me. e86 - Age 55 - 4k miles a year - 8yrs NCB - £234.
Tip - with Direct line I've learned that I can a cheaper quote by calling them . This time round I saved £60 on the online price.

I have to say that I got a good deal with Chris Knott this year - £281 no mileage restrictions on my 35is - Saga, who I’ve been with for years wanted £440 with 5k Miles
You don't stop playing when you get old - You get old when you stop playing!
So I bought a 35is with all the toys to play with.

Almost the same circumstances as you, I’m 51, except I’ve got 6,000 miles per year including up to 1,500 miles business use paying £154 p.a. Just a normal car policy as far as I’m aware
