Works well for me.
enuff_zed, would you say the the Autofix is a huge amount better than the cheaper Creator C400 as it is quite a lot more money?

The price seems to have up quite a bit! There are some on eBay. If you get one of the other code readers from Amazon you can send it back if you don't like it!

I'll be honest, it's gone up a lot in price since I bought mine.
I have no experience of Creator other than reading as lot of colb's comments on the 310+ and thinking they both sounded pretty similar.
410+ will in all likelihood do everything you need.

Another air bag light on

This has now become a fiasco. Z4 was to go in today to my local garage for its air bag light, in the meantime wife’s car went in for mot and service. Came back with rear screen heater and inside lights not working, took it back and its been there for 4 days. Turned out they hadn’t put back a connector properly when they changed the cabin air filter. Wife not happy and my car now needs to wait for a new slot as they used it for her car. :headbang: However they were honest and didn’t charge for the time

I recently changed out my battery (2003-Z4-2.5) and the airbag dash light came on along with the Airbag OFF light at the left knee of the passenger seat. Get no codes on my reader and vehicle has been through several "start/stop" cycles. Any thoughts??

It seems that air bag lights are common on Z4s. Mine had one on an mot years ago.

Disconnect the battery. Wait 10 minutes then reconnect.
Failing that then what code reader are you using? Very unusual to have no codes at all. Do you have any other codes for unrelated modules? Anything that mentions CAN or K-bus?

My airbag light just came on yesterday as well. Hmmm... is this the airbag season - sort of like the cold/flu season??

I have a Blue Driver OBD2 reader and no codes popped up on mine either.

So now due to this, I now have to wait until after the new year to book mine in :headbang: hopefully Santa will bring me my OBD reader and will at least be able to find what the codes are. Then decide what to do. Definitely finding a more reliable garage going forward.

Another air bag light on

Update. Wife bought me a creator C410 for Christmas. Plugged it in today went to ‘airbag’ and it showed ‘93E7 under voltage’.Then went through some more sub menus and found a place to erase fault. Airbag light now on when engine not running and off when running. Is this good, has it been cured or have I just brushed the problem under the carpet and still have no working airbag?

It should come on for a while when you turn the ignition on as it does a self check. Can take quite a few seconds to turn off. The more you worry the longer it seems to stay on.

Yes it does and goes off. Does this mean it’s okay now?

Just make sure you stare at that light each time you start the car. And then hold your breath whilst it is on.

You see your entire life go by whilst that light is on ….
