Hi,
My 2006 E86 has the Xenon factory lights - facelift version where the xenon bulb is used for high beam and dipped beam with a small solenoid and mechanism to switch between the two..
Dipped beam works fine on both sides. High beam works fine on driver's side but on passenger side nothing changes when I put mains on. So the mechanism is not working. Any idea how I get to this to have a look. Is the solenoid something I can switch from left to right as an initial test to see whether the problem is electrical/solenoid/actuator/mechanical?
Just to add, this is not the earlier version that has a halogen flash to pass light - that bit is empty as per design.
Thanks
Craig

Does this help (it's an e90, but I'm assuming our's use a similar mechanism)?

Thanks that us useful. I’ll have a look to see if the magnets can be swapped over.
