Warm pad

Post by bluepain » Sun Jan 21, 2024 6:54 pm

I recently had a rear near side abs sensor die on me,and subsequently replaced it.
All lights on dash have now extinguished and all seemed fine..

Noticed the other day my front disc on the same side is quite hot.

My question is ,,did I have to set up newly replaced sensor, and is this causing the issue ..or is it a sticky caliper
Thoughts welcome

It’ll be a sticky calliper

Here's an end to this post..
Caliper was definitely sticking..
Worked on it for a while and got it to move more freely.
Brake pedal was starting to become spongy, so I was expecting caliper to be leaking.
Turned out to be a the hose to the caliper had a tiny leak so pad wasn't retracting when pressure on thebrake pedal was released..
Every time a small amount of air was brought into that corner. Making it virtually inoperable..
Hope this explanation helps others..
