So the time has come to put the Zed up for sale as I'm looking to move into a Z4M.
I've owned the car since 2016, I bought it on 100k miles off this forum, and it's now on just over 150k.
It was my daily driver until 2019, after which it's very much been a weekend car, barely doing any miles over the last few years sadly for various unrelated reasons.
The spec from the VIN is as follows:
475 Black Sapphire
LBTL Dream Red New England Leather
No Maintenance Pack
ZFM Electric Folding Mirrors
350 Composite Star Spoke Wheels
354 Windscreen with green tint
387 Wind deflector
430 Ext. mirrors - folding & heated
493 Extended storage
494 Seat Heating
508 Park Distance Control
522 Xenon headlights
540 Cruise Control
609 Navigation System Professional
644 Bluetooth phone prep
677 Hi-Fi Sys Prof Carver
In my ownership it’s had the following:
Hydraulic steering conversion at the Zed Shed
Fast road 4 wheel alignment
Vanos redone
New DISA valve
Headlight levelling system completely replaced
Oil filter gasket replacement
Z4M Wheels
New starter motor
Eibach springs and Bilstein B4 shocks all round with new top mounts
New brakes 2000 miles ago
Updated clear rear lights
M-Sport gear knob
DLV Backbox mod
Royals steering wheel re-cover
M Sport Seats in New England leather
Front callipers replaced
Rear brake lines replaced with Kunifer
It also has poly bushed mounts by the previous owner.
Last service was by me last year, changed the oil and filter.
It's got a very comprehensive service history with loads of receipts etc.
As of any car of this vintage it has some issues which are as follows:
Bad points:
Full beam headlights flicker – could be a bad connection or the LCM. I have a spare LCM that I’ve never fitted but will of course include. They have always done this since I owned the car, I just never sorted it. Dipped beams work fine.
Paintwork is original and good for the age. Has a few dents and scrapes as you might expect for the mileage. It cleans up alright, but please don't expect flawless paint.
Rear parking sensors don’t work – I replaced one which fixed the issue but another has now gone annoyingly.
CD Changer doesn’t work - never has in my ownership.
Oil level sensor doesn't work.
It's a mechanically sound car with some sought after options like the Euro rear lights and the upgraded leather interior.
Just had a full valet inside and out as well.
I’m looking for around £4,000 ono for it, based in North Hampshire.
Let me know if you have any questions at all
