Worst stickers on cars

Post by Fred Smith » Tue Apr 30, 2024 5:30 pm

Photos probably better than typing, but how about a "worst car stickers" thread if not done before?

Today I saw some generic fairly modern car with "abused daily" written in white cursive script ALONG THE BOTTOM OF THE WINDSCREEN. You did read that right, WINDSCREEN.

There's another one I've seen that I truly hate. I am one of those people who can appreciate a proper off road vehicle such as a Defender, but who thinks luxury "off road" vehicles in cities are an abomination. The concept of the "Chelsea Tractor" is horrible. Now imagine living in the countryside and sticking a "Chelsea Tractor" sticker on the back of your 20 year old Land Rover Freelander. Sorry, mate, a Chelsea Tractor is not something to aspire to, and a crappy 4x4 outside a council house in the country is NOT a Chelsea Tractor. And it's worse when matched to a "personalized" numberplate that relies on using numbers as letters to work.

Thanks for letting me get that off my chest.

"My crappy 4x4 in the countryside is a luxury 4x4 that has no place in the city" is a statement I find equally objectionable whether made seriously or sarcastically. Maybe I am just incredibly sore about the absolute destruction of one of the greatest British brands of all time over the last 35 years. Destroyed by both crap models and "luxury" models.

Yup. Are they suggesting you will drive differently?
And usually you'd have to be driving stupidly close to read it anyway.

It is pretty offensive as well as irrelevant! They are effectively telling the driver behind that they think he is some sort of irresponsible bad driver who risks the lives of men women and children, but who will suddenly feel guilt and slow down if they find out a baby is in the car. NO! I respect other people on the road irrespective of their age, thank you very much! How dare you suggest I only care about myself and babies!

If we are talking tasteless stickers, etc, then how about a nice 7 series BM. For sale currently by a dealer and obviously a diesel:
