Hi all
Will a 275x35x19 with an offset of ET27 clear on the rear of a Z4M.
Currently running 255 with this set up with no issues.
Forgot to mention wheel is a 9.5J

They should fit assuming stock suspension and geometry..

You're asking if you can, the question is why do you want to make your lovely Z4M slower? Increasing the width with the same profile gives a tyre with a larger diameter, given that you have the same torque at the wheel, this reduces the force to accelerate.

Hi Taz,
275mm is the maximum tyre width for a 9.5” wheel. 245 is minimum, with 255 or 265 being ideal. Can’t help re fitment on your car though.

Yes it is an E85 Z4M.
you say makes it slower, not necessarily.Might be slightly slower on acceleration in perfect conditions but i can bet you it will be able to but its power down far more efficiently in every other way so making it a quicker car to drive.

On dry smooth tarmac the larger footprint will indeed give you better traction, so if your going to track the car that's great, for everyday road use in all seasons the difference in traction will be negligible and on damp or uneven road surfaces it will be worse. Ultimately, you'll be changing the characteristics of the car that the M division at BMW spent quite a while to get right.

For winter I run a square 255/35 set up with Continental AllSeasonContacts and for 90% of the time they grip better than the 275/35 Michelin Pilot Super Sports which need to be warm before they really start to grip. The ride is better, it's quieter and less prone to imperfections in road surface.
