six days to go before my journey, last minute panics beginning to set in - what else do I need etc etc
today I gave the car a quick wash, its very very dirty, i must get some wheel cleaner and do those wheels again - MV2's are a nightmare

Re: Dear diary
Hi Taz
Be excited fella, there is something very special about road trips.
Remembering everything? As long as you have your passport and credit card, everything else you can get by without.
Spare key? Not sure where you can keep it though. I usually give my spare to someone else in the group, but IIRC you're doing this trip alone?
Split your money, perhaps hide some in the car/boot as that way you don't lose it all if it does go amiss. People do pull things out of pockets and a fold of readies fall out.
I've just come back from a weeks trip in France (motorbike) and saw 2 UK Z4s on my travels, you may well bump into some over there.
Remind me of your route please, there may be ideas en route.
Whatever you do, it'll be great and you'll see some great places and drive some epic roads......have fun.

Washed car again, this time the bits inside the doors and boot, still need to do the wheels again

Take some MF cloths and some Glass cleaner. Nothing worse than a dirty windscreen.....
Re: Dear diary
And also remember phone charger. If someone going with you, give them the spare key to keep safely......

Re: Dear diary
Taz, most important two items you need: a 2 pence piece and a dice
Each morning before you drive off flip the coin, heads left, tails right, roll the dice and see which number turning you take on the designated side and see where it takes you
Used to do this years ago and found some amazing out of the way places we would never have seen any other way, wish i'd had the presence of mind to write some of them down.
