History
2 Owners including me, I bought it at 14 months old as a BMW Approved Used Car from Castle BMW York, I still have the original advert.
76000 miles,
Full BMW main dealer service history (including all MOTs but the last one), next service (oil service) in 6000 miles,
Oil changed every year regardless of need,
Front control arm bushings replaced <500 miles ago (common Z4 and E46 fault at 70000 miles)
Recent (500 miles) rear tyres (Conti) and 5mm+ front tred,
Brakes serviced in December of last year,
Alloy Wheels refurbed last year, but do have some Kerbing again, due to wife’s driving.
Hand washed (2 bucket + citrus peel), polished (Meguiars) and waxed (Dodo Juice – Diamond White) regularly, usually every 3 months (for waxing and polishing)
Bad points:
2 very small car park dinks, not through the paint, PDR could fix these,
2 of the alloys have some kerb damage,
There are stone hips on the front bumper and bonnet, (this is the only real negative)
I’m very pernickety when it comes to cars and as such I’m being brutally honest here!
Good points:
Bodywork: 95+% cosmetically perfect,
Mechanical: 100% mechanically perfect (the most reliable engine BMW have ever made)
Fuel: Still delivers 37mpg on a run, 29-31 on my commute,
Tax: £230 per year, (6 months currently on the car)
MOT: Due January 2012
Incredibly comfortable and faster cross country than my 3.0i Zed ever was,
I spent almost 10 months looking for this car in 2005, you’ll find it VERY difficult to find a car with a spec as good as this or in a condition as good as this (barring the gravel rash)
Reason for sale?
My wife is pregnant and we need a car with 4 doors, THAT’S IT! I would otherwise kept this car forever, I kid you not!
Beautiful car, well loved, and very well looked after! Without a doubt the nicest car I’ve ever owned.
