Thanks Stuart!
Though the phone volume and siri is quite low maybe as it only comes through the right side speakers. Also when I use googlemaps on my iPhone the google voice is very very quiet compared to the audio streaming.

I see what you mean about the fascia. Is it on upside down? Can't see from the pic but maybe the other way up would follow the curve of the dash?

Nope that's the way it goes..the two screws are at the top. I think it's because of the curve so bottom edge is thicker and protudes out. Also the stereo sit more front end rather than a slight incline of the bmw one.

Heck if it has siri integration i'd live with the minor facia issue.

Would love integrated siri in my car :(

You could try some fiberglass filler to make it fit better... If you had the time or patience... Or if you can live with it then it doesnt matter... It works and does its job is what matters!

Haha yeah, it doesn't say it has Siri but if you activate voice control by pressing the main wheel then he comes on and works pretty well. :) Siri is necessary as I can't change the tracks though the display only 'next' and 'back'.

Is the stereo not supposed to go in it an angle? So the face sits flush with your adapter plate??

I am supposed to be looking into making a nice fascia panel for Nightyard when i get round to it i will post some pics might be of interest for a few people.
My little blue zed is in lots of bits. With lots of things started and not many finished! I may have found the limits of my time and ability!!

There's a clip or plate which doesn't allow it to go in at an angle. Dunno maybe you can force it another way. But it's not as bad as it comes across in the photo.

vanilla, I am now considering a new stero and have briefly looked at pioneer, my questions are does the steering wheel controls work and does the rear parking sensors beep come through the radio?

Machine monkey, did you make a facia panel?

Taz, I don't have steering wheel controls or parking sensors so can't help you there I'm afraid. It's a good radio but mainly designed for your own media as the auto-seek/tuning function doesn't work too great, can be a bit quiet when you're driving long distances but I normally use bluetooth iTunes etc.
