Scuffed Bodywork Prevention
Just came across a useful aid for anyone having to regularly park next to a wall or other immoveable object, or tight garage doors.
Called 'Garage Door Protector' and is only available from ALDI stores @£6.99 for two self adhesive 10mm thick pieces measuring 400mm x 300mm each.
Stuck some on bare brick walls in my garage and they are supposed to be suitable for outside use.
A good buy, easy to cut and we'll see how long they stay there.
Haven't yet figured how to attach pics but they are bright yellow.

Carpet offcuts (or just old carpet) do the job if it's inside where it won't get wet, often free.

That's what I've used before, wouldn't stick on and eventually nailed it into brickwork joints - didn't look very good but it did the job till I spotted this stuff.

Sorry, haven't yet figured how to do, will try again.
Being ALDI they only put special items on over a few days, when they're gone its usually about a year later they re-appear.

I've mentioned before that, if you go to your local carpet shop, you can usually get hold of the old sample books foc - the samples are usually quite large with nicely bound edges, so you can fix nice thick £40+/sq m carpet on the walls just where you open your doors

Re: Scuffed Bodywork Prevention
Before I got a 40 foot wide garage , I used to glue a mousemat to the wall where I opened the car door. Ideal.
Why is it that people who can't take advice always insist on giving it?

Better to get a small piece of carpet for a mat finish
