Hydro Dipping Help!
I am in the process of hydro dipping some bits. Tonight was hot so I thought I would drop the roof and try to remove some bits!
1) I have taken the headrest out and there is a torx screw on the seat belt guide. Torx out and ........ I can detach the trim which appears to be joined to the seat !??? I have been aggressive, given it some beans and it just wont clip out?
2) I need a guide on the hoops! I managed one casing at the rear and then I could not remove the centre solid piece and the front would just not budge. I had so many trim panel tool but it didn't help. someone must have taken their hoops out?
Any help appreciated please

Hi, thanks that's great. Silly question but how did you remove the centre wind-blocker from the head rest? I had the back off but not the fronts, couldn't see how to unclip itranski wrote:I had my hoops hydrodipped in black and they are a right chore to remove - http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=2584

How is the hydro dip working out?
I'd be interested in the results as I'm going to see a man about a dip or two tomorrow!

Clean car! Nice looking hoops. Is trim going through the same treatment?

Re: Hydro Dipping Help!
Sorry if this is a silly question but why hydro dip instead of paint if you are doing block colours?

Cheers, your dash does look better than the standard piano black dash from your pics, lovely interior, lovely car.

Carbon Mirrors...What's all that about, think the gloss black would of been a lot better finish.
