I can't make it on the 12th...but wanted to drop in and say HELLO!

I finally registered. Is this the last stop? Because SOMEONE told me the last stop was the last stop.... :o

We'll miss you but glad you "found" us :) I was wondering where you were....
 
Though I think the ride down PCH thru Malibu is supergreat ... ANY ride along the beach, top down in a Z4 on a sunny warm day is a fabalous ride.

Just wanted to check in. Not sure yet if I can make it for the event.

Bob, any idea where the location is going to be?
 
I was hoping that suggestion would pop up. We can do the Malibu to Oxnard run. I have been looking at beaches that actually face west ( as to not repeat what was done last time ), there are two just north of Oxnard. I will run up there Sunday and check it out. I hope to have thoughts for places to have dinner also.
 
:cry: the 11th would be better. Not a fan of driving straight from Cali into work on Monday...



not that I've done that a few times already. :rofl:

One of the Cannonballers had an 3.0 CSL ( had Cali plates )
 
Ok, we are back from our Honeymoon and I see this drive coming up. Maybe Aug 11 would be better? Bob, we can reschedule or do our planning for the homecoming earlier in the day if this is better for all concerned. :thumbsup: :D :driving:
 
Well after spending Sunday evening in Oxnard , I have come to the conclusion that there are no beaches that face west in SoCal. If there is a hint of a west facing beach it has houses on it ( no access ).

What do you all think of doing a Mulhuland drive? Not sure where to stop for a meal though. Say start in late morning and finish around 3:00. Instead of ending up in Oxnard, we would end in Santa Monica area ( Pepperdine area ). If we were to do that, those that must work on Monday, will not be out so late on a Sunday night.

This would be a cruise. Law enforcement is heavy in the area. We have not done this drive as SoCalZ's.

Suggestions only,

Meet at the Camirillo Airport and then work back toward Santa Monica.

Could drive for 4 fours in the SMM and never drive the PCH

THen plan for a dinner near the SM zone.

I agree that no beaches are viable for those picture perfect poses.

What time mid morning do we meet at the airport and what sounds good for a meal?
