Hi from Stoke sub Hamdon
My wife and I spent last summer buzzing (literally) about on a 125cc Vespa, but on anything more than a 15 minute trip to a country pub I'm afraid it just didn't cut the mustard. As such and with much regret, the Vespa is history! The garage is now stuffed full of a sterling grey, '03, 3.0 Z4!! Only had it a few days but we love it already!
Already found a few things that need doing...but that's half the fun....apparently!!
1. Ipod interface won't charge my iPod Nano...no big deal and I think I know why.
2. Passenger footwell only gets cold air no matter what settings everything else is on.
3. Spare key will start the car but won't hold a charge for locking. I think that a stanley knife and new rechargeable battery could be the answer.
4. Driver side cup holder is flapping about as if someone's forgotten to screw it in.
5. No 12v power from centre console.
6. Driver side lock just spins in the barrel.
Looks like a busy weekend ahead!!
Cheers.

Hi and welcome to the forum, it's the law to show photos of your pride and joy on here
Just had to google where you live, very nice.
I quite fancy an old scooter, plenty of people have them in this area, they are very cool
Most of your issues are tinkering things and your weekend should yield results, don't forget the photos

Hi from Stoke sub Hamdon
Ha! As promised I've been out in the sub zero temperatures and snow to grab a couple of pics to prove it's real!!RickRob wrote:I have diarised to check at mid-day Saturday. No pressure!Callahan wrote:Thanks folks! I will post some pics at the weekend...it's a promise!
While there I fixed one of the problems on my list. Swapped out a blown fuse No.5 and now I have a working 12v power supply. I also tried the "dead key fob" instruction -
Method 1:
1. Working from within the vehicle and with the doors shut
2. Turn ignition to position 1 and back to off within 5 seconds.
3. Remove the key from ignition and press and hold the unlock button for 15 seconds during this time press the key lock button 3 times within 5 seconds.
4. Release both buttons.
5. Doors will lock and unlock to show correct programming has occurred.
No cigar for me so I think I'll have a go at changing the battery at some point.
