Well we spent yesterday fitting the side skirts on the E85. Once we were sure of the fit and the placement the time came to sit down and finish sand the edges where the product came out of the mold. There were obvious saw marks where they had been trimmed when being produced. Also dressed up the rear diffuser to have it prepped for installation. No work today so my time will be spent trying to finish this project up. 60 degrees now expecting a high of close to 70 today. Snapped a couple of pics for you and will continue to do so today. Thanks for all the positive comments and welcome anyone's input.

Well finally got the driver's side skirt permanently mounted today. We've had a little change in weather and the temperature has been a little lower than I liked for the permatex to properly set. Last thing I want is to have to redo these or have them looking cheap. I have to say it was a quality product and I'm well satisfied with it now it's permanently mounted. Came together well with the new front bumper, it looks really good. By the way my fog lights came in, they were on backorder and they look great. Sat them in the holes to snap a few pictures for the Forum. Today's weather was a little cool. We're expecting a little snow this weekend possibly in this area. What a winter! Seventy seven 2 days ago , 70 yesterday, expecting snow Saturday. Mother Nature's lost her mind. Since it was a little cool today all I did was finish the driver's side skirt and prep the passenger side so I can mount that skirt tomorrow. Have evaluated the rear skirt extension installation and decided where to make the cut under the old bumper. That installation is going to be easier than I anticipated. So with it coming together like it is hopefully we can have it prepped for paint next week. Not sure what my painters schedule is going to be but maybe we can get her back and on the road here within 2 weeks. Having to drive my SUV and though it's comfortable it's not my baby. Snapped a few pics to share with everyone. Any comments positive or negative are welcome. I hope everyone has a "Z" day

Thank u. It's coming together. Working on the rear diffuser now. Hope to have her in the paint shop as early as next week. The response from the Z Community has been wonderful. There have been a few purists who think I'm destroying the car but I set out to make this car unique and make it my own and I'm really pleased with the results so far. Once this is completed I can start on my performance upgrades. Everyone have a "Z" day, tops down and smiles on.

Hung the rear diffuser yesterday. Will spend the day fitting and fine-tuning that installation. The rear diffuser is in a carbon fiber finish right now but plan to leave only the area below the lip that separates the top and bottom in carbon fiber. Have decided to go with fiber Grill inserts. That will tie in the splitter in the front bumper which is also a carbon fiber finish. Also plan to wrap my mirrors in a carbon fiber finish as well as the spoiler on the trunk deck. All in all it'll all come together with the new silver paint job. Will be happy to see the body mods finish so that I can make plans on my performance upgrades. Currently looking at a couple of different software upgrades to bring this Z to life as well as a performance exhaust system. I have an appointment to have the windows 10 it next week, I am up in the air about that. I like to look myself but don't see a lot of Z cars with the windows tinted. Personally I think since the car is silver and dark carbon fiber that tinting the windows is going to just make the car that much more appealing. Any thoughts on that subject would be appreciated

Spent the last two days fiting the rear diffuser. Biggest concern is the body lines where the edges of the diffuser meet the bumper. Also assuring that the support brackets underneath do a proper job of keeping the exhaust far enough away to prevent damage. So far everything is coming together well. Weather seems to be warm enough to use the Permatex today however I will be using a heat gun to heat both parts to make sure I have a good bond. Since this will be catching a a lot of wind from under the car I'm going to double up on the lines of Permatex that I'm using against the bumper skin. There are two brackets attached to the lower inside of the diffuser that mount underneath the car near the rear end to provide support and resistance. Applying Loctite to those nuts and bolts. Really hasn't been a hard install on any of the parts. As always there was some fitting and brainstorming to try to make this as professional an install as possible. Nothing I hate worse than to see someone rush fit something like this to a car only for it to look tacky and ruin the car. I am very satisfied with this kit and my choice to transform my "Z" from the cookie cutter car that everyone has to a personal statement that speaks volumes about owning a sports car that everyone wants a second look at. I love all sports cars, classic cars, rat rods and motorcycles. And having the opportunity to transform my own into something that makes me look back for a second look every time I walk away thrills me. I am enjoying sharing this project with all the other "Z" enthusiasts and if any should choose to take this plunge I will be more than happy to share any info I have to help them along. Well enough typing, time to finish up this defuser and plan the next step. Tops down, smIles on. Have a "Z" day!!!
