Hi from Cornwall, new 3.0si!
Just bought my new baby yesterday, had to drive it all the way back from Northampton to Cornwall (whilst stopping in London for the night for a few cheeky drinks with my brother). Really impressed so far, engine is so smooth and the gears are perfectly short. Compiling things I'm going to do to it now, already ordered the M gear knob, looking for a stubby antenna now (if someone could provide a link it'd be great, all links from older posts are dead), planning on trying the sound generator mod tomorrow.
Really miss the pops and burbles when shifting from my mini jcw, seen a couple of youtube videos with mods that produce a similar sound which I'll look into.
Now to stretch it's legs on some coastal roads

Hi from Cornwall, new 3.0si!
Welcome, happy to see another z4 in Cornwall, lovely car. Where are you? You are right there are some great roads in Cornwall. I tried two stubby antennas before I bought the Peugeot/Citroen one recommended on the forum and it looks and works great.

Hi from Cornwall, new 3.0si!
Hi and welcome
Sound mod is ok for plain noise, but Ducklakeview modifies exhausts and is well worth the money, sounds as it should when it's done, it's an exchange service so hassle free too! There's a thread on here about it.
Stubby- the Peugeot short antenna fits and is dirt cheap, signal is spot on as well. Check eBay for that one
This one maybe? http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/GENUINE-PEUGEOT ... iid%253A16
Hope you enjoy!

Hi from Cornwall, new 3.0si!
Good looking Z4 OP.
That was a proper drive home!
This is the Peugeot stubby I bought that fits just right:-

I've read of two forum members who will modify exhausts for a bit more soundtrack, but neither is anywhere near you. If nobody replies on this thread, I'd just post up a question.
Enjoy.

Great looking car mate, as above get Mike to modify your exhaust. It's a cheap mod with awesome results

Hi from Cornwall, new 3.0si!
I can confirm Mike (Ducklakeview) does a good job with the exhaust back box mod, it sounds great. I drove up from Cornwall staying at a friends in Birmingham for the night and drove to Mikes getting there at lunchtime and Mike quickly sorted the exhaust as he has all the tools and kit in his garage that you could wish for and I was soon off back to Cornwall with a large grin on my face and I'm still enjoying the sound.philbo909 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 01, 2017 7:45 pm Hi and welcome

Hi from Cornwall, new 3.0si!
Cheers guys, ordered it now! Want to get a few exterior things sorted before I do the exhaust (just may have had a little kerbing issue in London *cough*), but I'll certainly ask him to do it at some point (if he has time, seems a really popular mod). Located out near Bude, any roads you recommend?
P.S Cars looking great sharpy, was very tempted to go for black aswell, but my previous car was, and it looking dirty a couple of hours after washing it was a right pain.

Hi from Cornwall, new 3.0si!
Welcome , can't help thinking I know that village. Where about are you? Always looking for a run out. Not so much on the coast roads though, too busy most of the time.

Hi from Cornwall, new 3.0si!
Welcome, looks lovely. Mine has the Peugeot/Citroen aerial & it works great here out in the sticks. I still have the original whippy & may refit, can't make my mind up yet

Hi from Cornwall, new 3.0si!
Hello again, love the wheels will look out for you, what area are you in? You will see me round the Helston Illogan areas
I went for grey as I had a Golf GTD in black loved the colour but it just got dirty so easy.
On my Z3 I went for a stubby and the reception sometimes went flaky so was thinking maybe a bee-sting one this time.
As for a road to enjoy with roof down St Ives to Sennen Cove stop just after Gurnards Head for a Cream tea at Rosemergy with the wife or the Pub with the boys.

Hi from Cornwall, new 3.0si!
Some of my favourite roads close to Bude. B3264 is my favourite road in Cornwall. Must have driven it thousands of times in the past 30 years up and down to Widemouth body surfing.
