R.O Detailing - 2003 VW Golf 3.2 V6 R32

Post by R.O Detailing » Mon Sep 29, 2014 5:56 pm

After getting a call from a new customer and a trip down to his work place for an inspection and discussions on what the customer wanted we arranged a date and the customer delivered the car to me for the work completing

Firstly the car was snow foamed using #ValetPro - PH Neutral Snow Foam. Once left for 5 minutes, the car was rinsed and washed using #AutoGlym shampoo. I used the two bucket method and a #Meguiars lamb’s wool mitt. Whilst the car was still soapy the whole car was treated to a clay bar. Once the wash was complete the car was dried.

The car was then taped up ready for machine polishing using a rotary machine. I used various pads and 3M polish.
Once the polishing stage was complete the car was snow foamed and washed for a second time.

The wheels then got treated to some #ValetPro - Dragons Breath! Tyres also got treated with some #Meguiars High Gloss Tyre gel using a foam applicator.

Then onto the plastic trim. I used a product called #AutoFinesse - Revive Trim Dressing which as always I love to use and works great

The engine bay was cleaned using several brushes and cloths and some degreaser, and the inside of the car was cleaned using some APC and a good hoover.

The glass was the cleaned inside and out using some #AutoGlym Glass Cleaner.

This was followed by a good covering of #Collinite 476S - Super Doublecoat Auto wax.

Job well done and a happy Customer.

Hope you all enjoy the pictures!

One of my all time fave colours, my best mate has a mk5 R32 and its really stunning in the flesh.

Interested you used collonite as a last stage, do you prefer it (or its results) to sealants such as fk1000p?

That looks lovely mate. How much would a full detail cost?

A full detail cost depends on a few factors. Around the £200 mark but feel free to contact me to discuss further

Autoglym hi-tech polishing cloth (fancy red microfibre ones), or use a "misting" of a decent detailing afterwards?

I find the deep shine Autoglym polish amazing, I've not used the normal 'high resin' polish for sometime, so can't recall if that one is powdery.
