I've been a lucky boy and got a DA from Santa/SWMBO but the problem now is that it opens up the minefield that is pad and polish combinations. I've done a little bit of reading up on this but I'm not sure if it's really helped or I'm now more baffled than when I started.
For the time being I'd like to keep things simple as all I'm looking to do is remove the normal light scratches and swirl marks. I'm edging towards Scholl s20 black as it's a 1 step solution or maybe poorboys ssr2.5 or 2 then ssr1.
Am I thinking along the right lines? What pads would you guys suggest for polishing, waxing/sealing and wax/sealant removal?

Good to know. I was under the impression that BMW paint was quite soft.Smartbear wrote:Bmw clear coat is tough stuff, I use microfibre pads & meguires ultimate compound to make an impression on it

Pad and polish recomendations.
Bear is right
Clear coat on bmws is tough
I use the same combo too... go for microfibre cutting pad and megs ultimate compound
Both are super easy to use and give nice results..
I use a soft waffle pad to apply glaze but always wax by hand
