So you see the dilemma...SpiketheBike wrote:Like this you mean? http://www.caranddriver.com/news/pagani ... -info-newsenzed4 wrote:"the only cars you'll ever own" - What? I saw this too. And I think I overthink too!enzed4 wrote:So you see the dilemma...SpiketheBike wrote:Like this you mean? http://www.caranddriver.com/news/pagani ... -info-newsenzed4 wrote:"the only cars you'll ever own" - What? I assume that if it breaks you can fix it, since you have a complete abundance of money. I think for the sake of the thread the statement should be amened to "these are the only 3 cars you'll be able own for the rest of this year". This makes it more relevant. New cars will come into production so obviously cars in "your list" might be replaced. Same with the family comment, no plans yet, so all 3 cars being 2 seaters will suffice for the year.
Then there is also the fact that you're a millionaire or billionaire or whatever, the 3 cars you have are purely for enjoyment? If you need someone to take the kids to school? The wife from Westfields? Or pick up family from the airport? Theres always good old butler / private chauffeur on hand
THEN it never mentions the cars your wife has. They can all be more practical. If I'm a millionaire then I'll happily just have 3 V5C's in my name, with the rest (sportcars and more practical cars) in hers. Again over thinking and spoiling the point of the exercise. So I'll stick with my original statement: "these are the only 3 cars you'll be able own for the rest of this year".

I will assume that this hypothetical budget allows for maintenance and modifying! Here's my ideal 3 car garage, which is liable to change according to whims and future desires etc.
Supercar / Track car: Carrera GT
I've always had a huge crush on this. Light, open-top, V10 engine that wails to 8000+ RPM, manual gearbox!
Cruiser / Sunday drive: 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429
Big, loud, American V8!
Practical / off-roader: Land Rover Discovery Sport
To be honest I'm not really a fan of modern SUV but since there's only one car left to do the practical/off-road bit there's not much choice other than an SUV. Might as well be a Land Rover. Range Rover and Discovery are too big, Evoque too small, so this is just right!
