Yep I'd certainly be interested to hear of these results....so many companies out there offering remaps/chips that are utterly pointless....if this guy is genuine I'd imagine he may receive quite a bit of business from here!

3.0si Tune-up
Sorry all - I had the car tuned, then literaly drove for 1 hour in a queue on M25 fully laden with bicycle, before setting off on London-Paris charity cycle..!
Today drove car back 245 miles, but again with 50kg of luggage, bike on back & g/friend in tow - that said it did combined 36.8mpg!
The tune itself took about 6 hours (6hrs hanging around Hounslow was interesting) and despite Jason's very small & unassuming workshop he really knows his stuff. He also tunes some mega expensive BMs from these premises, so dont be put off if you pay a visit.
Due to above holiday etc I havent been out to test the car without extra weight & g/f moaning yet but have noticed the flat spots around 3.5/4k are gone. Jason gave mine the same tune that generated 282bhp in another si, however with mine being 242bhp at last dyno test (due to either faulty maf or new exhaust) I'll be happy with 255/260 bhp.
Dyno booked in along with mot tomorrow morning so shall post results.
Despite dyno result tomorrow, it was well worth the tune - flatspots gone, better throttle response & improved mpg.
Watch this space & apologies again for delay.

Re: 3.0si Tune-up
Maybe we should all have a group dyno day? We all had one on the S2K club i was in... and made for an interesting day... how identical cars can produce very different power!

That would be Great Dyno day's make for a good meet and you will lern a little bit about your car.aquazi wrote:Maybe we should all have a group dyno day? We all had one on the S2K club i was in... and made for an interesting day... how identical cars can produce very different power!
AMD at thurruck is good, nice big fan and if you can get a good number of car's they normanly sort out a BBQ on the day, on a group dyno day the prices very between £35. to £40 for 3 runs. I've been to a couple or so in the past in my old Cooper S
and it becomes very intresting to compare car' s of the same, and a good Dyno will show up if the car is not performing right has shown with Wills,
i'm up fore it anyone els, i would sergest AMD or surrey rolling road and do it Late september or October when the ambent temp has dropped
