Ah, so you're the one with the "flimper" spec'd Alpina

This morning I went to install the Gaptech RCH that I recently bought on here from Kizim. I removed the Ash-tray and sat there beaming at me was a Gaptec +OTH module already installed ! I crimped up the connections a little tighter and bingo it all jumped into operation.

I've now passed the recent module without the OTH onto the chap who posted asking for second dibs, so now everyone is sorted and happy.
.....And it turns out I didnt have a Flimper Spec Alpina after all boys ! (Plus I've got another £65 back in my Zed funds!)
That is nuts!! That's making me want to check if Ive got one in mine. Got a pretty good feeling I won't though  but I'm definitely contemplating on getting one. I agree that £95 does seem quite a bit for it.

Thats the trouble/delights with these pre-owned cars. You never quite know what previous owners have done to them ! :D

Bought one this morning, going hang on to the car so it'll be good for the summer when i can have a remote module installed but never use it because i live in Ireland and it'll be raining.

Bought mine last week and fitted it on Saturday. What a fantastic piece of kit.

Only thing to watch for is that the wires are pretty thin and if you aren't careful (and get them lined up with the slit in the scotchlok) you sever the wire and have to dig out the soldering iron :headbang:

Still doesn't take long though and is extremely satisfying when you can drop and raise from the key AND not have to keep your finger on the dash buttons.

Yeah might just use a wee terminal block strip and screw down the wires into that, assuming that's prob better than the scotch locks as well.

I've ordered mine this morning too. I can't remember what people have said but do you need to disconnect the battery?

Connector blocks are what I used with no issues. I didn't have any confidence in the scotchloks as others have had issues with them. Bit fiddly but easy enough to fit.

No need to disconnect the battery pal. Remove the ashtray and disconnect the plug connectors, identify the correct wires and away you go.

Here's mine fitted and working, (thanks number 5)
I stripped the sleeving back a little and soldered followed by heat shrink.
Worked straight away. Great piece of kit.
Also fitted my eibach springs, another worthwhile mod

I'm glad it all went to plan. I used mine properly for the first time today, rather than just testing !

The eibachs are good too. They give a nice stance and a nice ride.

Yeah, surprised at it feeling smoother, no rubbing either which I'm super pleased about
