The only input I have on those points above is:
1. Not necessarily true that 2.0 will be cheaper than 3.0; I've seen quotes where 3.0 is actually cheaper - lower accident rate maybe? So many variables though that it's worth each individual checking, they may be pleasantly surprised.
5. My brakes have lasted 3 years and 2 track days with some to spare - all dependant on driving style.
I'd agree that it can be a relatively small difference overall - you're a long time dead, enjoy it while you're young!

Funny I was just thinking the same about you!Pabby1980 wrote: ↑Sat May 20, 2017 12:14 pmffs you just can't stop can you?MACK wrote: ↑Sat May 20, 2017 11:00 amHonestly If you read the thread properly you would see I didn't actually start the unpleasantness that erupted I just commented on someone else's rudeness etc, but mainly I responded to the fact the info they were so critical and disparaging about was totally correct and that they were just plain wrong. I was then targeted and gave as good as I got. Then you decided to completely unnecessarily wade in with your snide comments, I even let the first one slide but you couldn't help yourself. So (and I'm not wishing to start something else here) I don't really think you exactly covered yourself in glory either and certainly shouldn't be trying to hand out the advice!
Nevermind.
I just remembered, didn't you say you weren't reading anymore of my posts, yet here you are commenting on them again. FFS you just can't help yourself can you!

Brilliant you have got yourself a zed ,but also you didn't buy either a 2.0 or a3.0
So the debate can be laid to rest.
Enjoy your motor I'm sure you will love it

I'll wave as the 3.0lt flys past me with my feeble engine struggling as it apparently does
But seriously thanks for the help and advice it was very helpful in the end and helped make my mind up and potentially got me a car I didn't think I would be able to own looking forward to getting it giving it a full detail and then just enjoy the miles
Cheers

Mack: Re-fuel on these big 3.0 straight sixes, I just cannot believe what these girls do to the gallon, I admit whole heartedly that I drive like Miss Daisy [62mph down the A14 & never over 70mph, change gear at 2500 rpm.....I just love the lazy grunt of these big sixes] and my computer says 40.3mpg even allowing for 'computer error, high 30's & low 40's is astounding!

My 3.0si has done 42mpg on the trip computer on a few long trips driving slow. But on average 30mpg all in which is fine for 265bhp or whatever they are!Fox889 wrote: ↑Sun May 21, 2017 8:37 pm Mack: Re-fuel on these big 3.0 straight sixes, I just cannot believe what these girls do to the gallon, I admit whole heartedly that I drive like Miss Daisy [62mph down the A14 & never over 70mph, change gear at 2500 rpm.....I just love the lazy grunt of these big sixes] and my computer says 40.3mpg even allowing for 'computer error, high 30's & low 40's is astounding!
