John, dont worry about this fear of mileage accumulation. Yes its an illness but many including myself suffer with the problem

Driving will only cause more stress related problems. Your only option is to control you're anxiety with hours of excess polishing

I didn't think a single photo could sell it to me, but I was wrong.

Mileage Phobia?

I've put 70,000 miles on my 35iS. I wouldn't give it a second thought. - unless you bought it to look at it. In that case, I'd have gone for a 70's Ferrari. :D
Why is it that people who can't take advice always insist on giving it?

Done 14,000+ miles in the 35iS in 10 months, mostly on A & B roads, just for fun. :)

Marlon wrote: Fri Sep 22, 2017 10:55 pm I am the only one who enjoys motorways - ok, if you're in a tailback sure its a pain, but the rest of the time its great. Cruising along at erm . . . 70 and then stepping on the gas and marvelling at how strong the engine pulls in 6th and how urgently the car accelerates, then easing back into the middle lane - all with the top down, so you've got the looks and the power, the perfect sports car :driving: (Don't get me wrong I love a twisty country lane too).
Marlon, you aren't alone!

I like motorways when they are working properly.

I drove to Leicester on Saturday - used the M40 but went over to the M1 via Silverstone. Got that horribly wrong - they're turning that section of M1 into a "S**T-Motorway.

So coming home I used the M69 and A46 to get to the M40 near Warwick - much better progress (I don't think I had to do 70 all the way home). 3 hours going, 2 hours coming back - much better!

But I still prefer a windy A or B road with good sightlines. I just hate urban roads - Z4 feels wasted on those!
Coupes because stunning!

At the moment, a camera-free motorway. Not Q-car-free, though. :!:
