Drilled discs for 23i

Post by flybobbie » Tue Feb 09, 2016 9:43 pm

Bought these as a spring project, purely cosmetic.
My front discs approaching 60k miles and pad only about 2/3 worn, but like to fiddle and haven't had the front calipers apart yet.
Mtec brand, just over £200.
Been looking for a while for fronts and rears.
Will fit with EBC green stuff.
Anyone any bad experience with these, just normal use.
Not plated, so will spray up with some Chrome paint from B&Q that as lasted well and no corrosion on existing discs.

Forgot to say the cost includes 48 hr Parcel farce.

I had these on my old Alfa GTV and really liked them. Lasted like normal but produced more dust as you would expect.

Will look class.

I had these on an old vrs and currently have them on my murano. For the money they're great. Haven't had any issues with them.

Are you going to fit yourself? What about the Ebrake issue on the rears?

The rears have been off at least once a year the last 3 years to paint up and replace pads, so no problems there.
Biggest deal will be getting the front discs off the hub, but a couple of kettles of hot water usually does the trick..oh and a big hammer!
