My dab works fine with a stubby. Nothing special, about £3.50 from Ebay.
Why is it that people who can't take advice always insist on giving it?

Whippy is the way to go. Who wants a litttle one when you can have a zingy, lithe, long one?

Don't listen to Fred. He has no cred. You can tell from this thread. He's got things goin on in his head. Maybe best left unsaid as it causes dread. Sanity? He hasnt got a shred. He should just stay in bed. And dream about whippy sandwiches, made with wholemeal bread.

This could be a good look with a few mods, what would my street credibility be like.

I'm fairly sure the DAB aerial is in the rear bumper. I've not experienced any noticeable loss of either normal or DAB stations since I changed to the proper aerial (admittedly I did this a week after buying the car).

It also looks much better, I'm afraid.
