If it had gone pink, yes
You can easily swap bulbs side to side to check
I assume you are aware of xenon safety due to high voltage?

I'll assume your not being sarcastic about dry days, etc
On start up they peak at 25,000v to ignite, so just ensure the lights are switched off before you touch anything, else it'll more that hurt.

Picked myself up a set of these yesterday in the Amazon Prime sale, £41 from the warehouse deals. Arrived today and the outer casing has some minor scratches but I still sealed.
I'd call that a bargain for 2 Osram Nightbreaker Unlimited bulbs!

Yes. As cj10jeeper mentioned, H7 for the inside lights (high beam/flash) and D2S for the outer lights (Xenon, main beam).

No worries and you do right to ask questions.
Just take your time. Take photos if your not sure so you can put things back. Test when installed.
Check you trap no wires when you put the access covers back and then smile st success and the savings

Believe I've seen people recommend adding silicone grease to the contact areas between the light and back plate, to ensure a watertight seal is maintained. Sure it can't hurt anyway!

Imho it's not necessary, just pull the seal out and reverse it if it's old, however as you say silicone grease won't harm, but avoid any petroleum based grease as it will dissolve them

I'm changing mine this weekend, like you say it's not necessary but I'd rather throw some on to avoid any potential headache with condensation. No such thing as overdoing it
