I have successfully installed a cable to allow me to use my iPhone 6s via Aux mode (I use it for off-line Spotify playlists) but the audio sounds very thin - I am unable to use the bass/treble settings on the basic Business single cd unit. I am told by the manufacturer of the cable that BMW limits access to "protect" the unit. I have messed about with the "graphic equaliser" settings in Spotify to little effect. Does anyone have any idea how I can "beef" the sound up? I am perfectly happy with the cd/radio output and would like to be able to enjoy a bit more "oomph" from the iPhone. The cable used is as follows:

I have the original OEM cable fitted an no problems with sound quality via my iPhone (6s). The bay cable looks OK. Have you got the latest software update on you iPhone?

I've cracked it - amazing what you can find out by reading the manual! Thanks for the input (no pun intended).
