I have not but I hear it's quite easy. Until you get to a bolt under the panel between the roof and boot lid. Sorry I can't be more help!
My little blue zed is in lots of bits. With lots of things started and not many finished! I may have found the limits of my time and ability!!

I've swapped the passenger side out, pain in the a%$e! To get both off you basically have to dismantle the rear end of your car.
You'll need to remove rear bumper, side skirts, boot lid, lights, parcel shelf, undo many roof bolts and peel the roof forward. Then you may start undoing the target wheel arches. While most of it is just time + spanner, there is some panel lining up to do and putting the boot back on can be nice and tricky.

Theres one bolt thats a pita! The one that bolts just under the thin panel between the roof and the bootlid.

No is the simple answer here buddy.
Chop rotted metal out, weld in new metal, make good the welds and then paint.

Cheers I found it to be a really easy straight forward job to remove, roll covers off arch liner out and Ariel disconnect and lights out .
I got the wings blasted to get all the paint n rust off then it was only minor repairs needing done .

The end result look amazing so well worth the effort.
