Dead tail light

Post by toonmal » Wed Oct 22, 2014 9:15 pm

I noticed today, that my o/s tail light was dead (brake and indicators ok) However, no warning on the dash board..I thought broken lights were supposed to be picked up by the on board computer?? Booked in for next week though.

Sidelight and Indicator(signal) illumination is LED and is supposedly 'life of the car'. If you're under warranty they should swap it out for you, if you're not, a new rear cluster isn't too expensive from a breakers/ebay.

I'm sure there are 'people out there' who could fix this if you are out of warranty

It still amazes me that "progress" = complication/expense!
