Looks like wrong brackets.
Don't look like mine.
RealOEM part no.s 54347200805/54347200806
The part no's on yours are different.
Listed as $2.50 (That will £10 each in the UK). Probably the cheapest part on the car!
The windshield looks right from memory. Will have a look tomorrow.

Toonmal, your link correct parts.
Bit pricey as Realoem as them at $2.50 in the states, must be mistake.
I checked my E-Bay history to see where I bought mine, but doesn't go back that far.

Idiots guide for oem wind deflector please !
Hi, Ive just bought a wind deflector and have seen sent fixing brackets the same as in your photos, I assume they are wrong?toonmal wrote:Hello folks, Mr Thicko reporting for duty !! As you will gather, still no luck, so a couple of questions:
Is the screen fitted fully opened , or half open?
Once fitted, how do you remove it?
I've attached some pics below...On the first one, why is the arrow pointing to the small metal button? (In the screen slots for the brackets)
The other 2 pics, can you just confirm they are the correct bits...Ta

on an e89 it only fits ONE way. Guide the bottom half into the curved slots then press the top down until it clicks in placesrhutch wrote:It does fit both ways. Bing, Jan and me we debating which way round it should actually be fitted.cj10jeeper wrote:It only fits one way around and then clicks into place as you slide it down the brackets.
If it won't lock in just reverse it
OP, If you look by the runners there is a L & R marked to indicate though.
Why is it that people who can't take advice always insist on giving it?

When we bought ours it had been put in the wrong way round and we almost lost it on the motorway, luckily it blew into the car instead of out.
