I order one of these as well (Seiko)
I don't really have a "good" watch and some people may think that I still don't but that looked like a real bargain to me.
I am looking forward to it arriving as well.

Just read a couple of reviews for the Sea Urchin. Great looking watch, but without a screw down crown, and 100m rating, I'd be wary of any water duty beyond the occasional dunk. Still, did read that other owners have swum with theirs, so maybe I'm just being overly cautious.
Wouldn't stop me picking one up at that price though - please post up pics when it arrives

Slight change of plan on the other watch front, now hankering after a Planet Ocean...

I've loved the PO since it was released, but will probably never pull the trigger on owning one as they are incredibly overpriced for what they are IMHO. If you could get a good deal on a preowned one, it would certainly make it worthwhile.Ducklakeview wrote: ↑Wed Oct 11, 2017 9:09 pmWill do..enzed4 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 11, 2017 9:03 pm Just read a couple of reviews for the Sea Urchin. Was at my best friend's house yesterday, and he has this one, with the rubber strap;
I LIKE it, but do prefer the stainless bracelet, along with either a blue or black dial/bezel.

I have an omega seamaster and wad hankering after a planet ocean then saw a customer with one and to be honest decided I like my seamaster best. It's 10 years old and on its 3rd battery. Only problem I've had is the divers clasp extension which isn't that tight any more. I sure that they both will look great.

Looked at Quartz, but I want something "mechanical" I like the thought of a complex little machine ticking away on my wrist..

Yes Quartz. I thought I had done the wrong thing after but, it turns out that a service on a quartz is much much cheaper. I have looked at navitimers, Rolex diving types ( there quite a few) and omegas. I keep coming back to navitimers.. It must be the shiny bits on them.

Not on navitimers. Don't think but on the cheaper ones ( colts etc) I think they do. I would still use my seamaster day to day and keep the navitimer for best. Saw a nice planet ocean in Chester when I looked at the navitimer

Cheaper? You obviously haven't checked out the Airwolf Raven . This is one lovely but very overpriced quartz. Don't know why, but I just love it.
And don't forget the Emergency series - quartz, expensive (but not to my taste really...)
