the ideal road safety car , if you drove one you would never go above 30mph and would always leave a huge gap between you and other cars . The fear factor would also mean full concentration on the road at all times

I suspect that most of the cars we drove 25 to 30 years ago would not have done much better.

Oh!...they were but you would likely get impaled on a steering column or the seats would pull loose from the floor boards and don't forget the motor joining you in the passenger compartment... :(
