Sad News on the 5 Forum.

Post by Number5 » Mon Feb 29, 2016 9:08 pm

I know a few members on here also drive a BMW 5 series too, and may be members or visit the BMW5 forum frequently.

Ive just read a thread on the Alpina forum reporting the tragic death today of Darren, (aka Donut) one of the adminstrators of the 5 forum, killed in an accident near Lacock.

http://m.wiltshiretimes.co.uk/news/1430 ... n_on_A350/

A very sad situation and I'm sure all Z4 members will join me in passing on our condolences to his family and the 5 Forum.

That's really sad news, I was driving past the top of that road only shortly before. Terrible for both parties, especially as it sounds like the Punto might have pulled out into the M5 :-(

Horrible accident, my niece drove by not long after it happened & had to divert through Reybridge. My sister drives through there every day & she says he was really unlucky as that is the only tree in the area where the car ended up. Second fatal accident there in a couple of months. It is strange but at the end of last year there were roadworks scheduled "for safety reasons". All the diversion signs went up then on the day work was supposed to start they all disappeared & the works never happened. :(
